Loss Of Sleep, A Form Of Starvation?

Good sleep can only be had when one’s bed and bedroom is quiet and comfortable enough to invite sleep into it.

Loss of sleep causes a form of starvation, for the food we eat is digested and transformed into new muscle, brain, blood, and nerve-cells only while we are asleep.

“Sleep recharges the exhausted body batteries and fills the organic furnace with fresh fuel. Sleep is a positive process–not a negative one. It isn’t merely a stopping of bodily activity. It’s a substitution of a constructive process for a destructive one.”

“Only while we are unconscious do we fully recuperate. The deeper the sleep, the quicker the recuperation. The lighter ,and more disturbed the sleep, the more we need of it—the longer it takes to effect repair.”

‘The quality of sleep is everything. An hour’s nap, under favorable condition, is more reconstructive than an entire night’s restless, dream ridden sleep. Many who sleep deep’ are able to do with four or five hours of it—while light sleepers might require twelve or thirteen hours to gain the same degree or recuperation.

Go to sleep when your tired, get up when you are rested. That’s the only proper universal rule. When You are rested you’ll awake. In fact, you
couldn’t sleep any more—just then—even if you wanted to. And, have no fear of injuring your health by oversleeping. No one ever got too much good natural sleep or did his health any harm by staying in bed until he or she felt rested. But if you don’t feel rested, there is a cause for it. Either there is something wrong with your bed, or you’re not getting enough oxygen; meaning your bedroom is stuffy or not ventilated properly; perhaps sleep apnea —or you could be anemic. If  this is the case, please see your Doctor for a physical to get your overall health checked.

Is The Tax Man Causing You Sleep Loss?

Anxiety, stress, money worries, loss of sleep.

Yes, it’s that time of the year again; “The Tax Man Cometh.”

Reminds me of a Beatles tune.

Anyways, this time of the year the stress upon American’s continues to become greater & greater. The tax burdens we shoulder seem to be never ending, and thus, that can lead to sleep loss, insomnia, and other sleep disorders.

This past year seems to be even more brutal than some of the other years I can remember. The economy sure didn’t help us achieve nights of good honest sleep.

“So what are we do?”

Glad you asked. If you watched the video, you will hear me mention (several times) a Free Report; “How to sleep when you have money worries.”

I truly believe this report can help you get a better night’s sleep this tax season, or anytime of the year that money issues seem to be keeping you up at night.

Please enter your name, and email in the form below and you will receive this report immediately. Plus it has a workbook/guidebook with a few questions, (nothing to deep) to really help you understand where money and lack of sleep issues come from.

Two Simple Sleep Tips To Defeat Insomnia

Greetings,

Today’s sleep and insomnia information post deals with a couple of simple, but maybe unconventional sleep tips that you might not have thought of.

Seriously though, if you will watch the video, and see what I explain about the clock and the cell phone, I am sure you will agree with me.

One of the worse things in the world is trying to fall asleep, and having the “glow” from your digital alarm clock shining in your eyes. Or if you are experiencing a little tossing and turning while trying to sleep, it’s no fun to look over and keep seeing that only a few minutes have passed on the clock.

Very frustrating.

Now on to the cell phone. I am guilty of this in the past, but have put this bad sleep killer to bed.

TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF!!!!

There I said it!

Turn it off in the early evening as you are unwinding, and keep it off.

Even through you maybe be consciously trying to sleep, if you have trained your unconscious mind to always be listening for your cell phone, guess what it’s going to do as you lie down to sleep.

If you feel you must keep it on in case of emergencies, that’s your call, and I won’t argue that one bit.

These are just two suggestions you can add to your arsenal of information to help you improve your sleep.

Hope they help.

City Slumber; A Sleep Poem

Greetings,

Today I bring you something a little different, a sleep poem from a very good friend of mine; Mary McManus.

She has hit the proverbial nail on the head when it comes to us being some hurried in this busy, hectic life of ours.

City Slumber

Racing thoughts and city noise are keeping you from sleep Retreat inside to sacred space with calming breaths so deep.

The hectic pace, the hurried feet, the worries of the day Release, relax, embrace yourself as slumber’s on its way.

Whatever what you think went wrong in thought you set it right Drifting thoughts-sifting thoughts as peace begins the night.

Review the day’s occurrences transform – forgive – make new Cleansing with the Spirit – a restful night awaits for you.
